Reader’s Digest

Reader’s Digest

I grew up reading Reader’s Digest for years, front to back. Never thought in a million years I would one day be between the pages, especially for their 75th Anniversary Special Edition (November issue), as a (small) part of the “75 Awe-Inspiring Reasons to Smile” feature! I feel so honoured. And yeah, this is kinda cool!

Surrey International Writers’ Conference – Oct 21-23, 2022

Loving Diana Gabaldon (author of the iconic Outlander series) so much more after hearing her say ‘the similarity between art and science is that you draw patterns out of chaos”. Love how her mind works. Such an amazing writer and speaker. What a privilege to meet her.

So wonderful being on a panel with these amazing women – Robin Stevenson, Tanya Boteju, Kirstie Hudson – with an amazing moderator, Mahtab Narsimhan. I could listen to them talk all day. Will definitely be reading their books as consolation.

Thank you so much, Kathy Chung & SiWC organizers, for an amazing conference. Made great new friends, met dear old friends, Elizabeth McLean, learnt lots, inspired immensely. Shall remember: “Just because it’s hard doesn’t mean it’s not worth doing.”
