Hearts of Freedom
“At the end of May, I attended the Canadian Association for Refugee and Forced Migration Studies 2025 Conference, and one of the presentations was about the travelling exhibition “Hearts of Freedom: Stories of Southeast Asian Refugees.” I was extremely proud to see the mention of my dear friend Nhung Tran-Davies, and the story of the doll she received when she arrived in Canada as a refugee at a very young age, a doll that inspired Nhung’s children’s book “The Doll”. Nhung, you are an inspiration, and I’m grateful to have met you and to have you as a friend.” — Corina
Jun 19 – Each time my babies leave the house for school, I say to them “be good, be kind, be respectful, and…STUDY HARD!!!” Their response, of course, is “Nooooo ” Goofy kids! Such an honour and privilege to be their mom and feeling so blessed & grateful to see another one of babies ready to spread her wings and soar!
